"PIANISTS - Defining Chopin" (DVD)
90 minute documentary that follows the four winners of the 2005 competition, during their 30 grueling days of competition, as they represent the U.S. at the 2005 International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. Director of the film, Tomasz Magierski, comments “The audience makes the journey with them and experiences the individual highs and lows and the enormous psychological and physical toll they are required to endure. We learn what being a pianist really means.”
The film was selected as part of 21st Annual Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival, and on October 25, 2006, played to a sold-out audience.
